Hello there. I have two computers connected with the twisted pair cable and off course, I have a problem regarding these two. The problem is that I cannot browse the contents from machine number one to machine number two. But, they somehow see them selves. The games are working, for example. They are in the same workgroup and their IP’s were not assigned automatically. This whole thing worked correctly, but now I don’t know what to do. Help.

Hi there. Regarding p2p home networking, it is very much important to have both network cards compatible. The most efficient Network Cards are from the Realtek’s house. Anyway, I would take Firewall software into consideration. Which one do you use? Zone Alarm really knows how to block everything needed without any reason. So, check your firewall settings. Try setting the default workgroup name (WORKGROUP for XP Pro, or MSHOME for Home version), and assign the following IP’s: 10.0.1.10 and 20 for the other one. No DNS, no default gateway, without any Wizard feature.
