| I have a notebook for last two years. However, yesterday I got Partition magic. I have heard that software could allow users to manage size of partitions on HDD. I managed to found out manual on the Internet about how to use it. Could I use Partition magic for partitioning hdd on laptop? |

| First thing, I think you should think twice about using software like Partition magic. That program could easily destroy your Windows and that way you may loose all the data on your notebook. You should find somebody that has experience in working with Partition magic. You should ask him to explain you how to work with it. If you still want to change partition on your hard drive, I could certainly help you with that. Hard drives should be usually divided in two partitions. Some like those partitions to be of equal size and others like that second partition be bigger than the first one. Anyway, first partition should be bootable and you should install your OS and all the other programs on it. On the second partition, you should keep all your data and reserve files. |
