| Hello. I really am dissatisfied in the computer hardware logic and technology. I have bought new hard drive with 300 gigabytes. I wasn't so patient before I plugged the drive to the board, and when I tried to format the surface, the computer saw only 120 gigabytes!!! Where is the other half? More than a half! I just can’t believe that Windows Xp is blind and can’t see more than 120 gigabytes. There gotta be some trick, or what, I bought the faulty drive? Help. |

| Greetings. Well, according to your provided information, I can only tell that you are still using Windows XP without any Service Pack. Windows XP has maximum default hard drive partition size limit to 120 gigabytes without SP1 or SP2. All you need to do is to update your Windows system, or to try partitioning your drive without using Disk Management utility. Partition Magic can format your drive without any update I think. Good luck. |
