I got an idea in my mind a few days ago that I should merge two of my hard drive’s partitions. I tried doing it with Partition Magic 7.0 but the process froze at about 30% and my computer shut down itself. When I turned it on again Partition Magic asked me something about repairing the disk and after I clicked ‘yes’ and the process was done, one of the partitions I tried to merge was became Xenix BBT! I don’t know what to do now? I’m angry at myself for using Partition Magic on my own and not reading a bit about it first. Could anyone please offer me some help?
This is a bit complicated but I can’t think of anything else right now. You should get another HD and put an OS on it. Set your old HD as a slave to the new and copy the things that you need. And then you can safely format it the way you want. Then you can put the OS you want on your old but now reformatted drive, set the other drive as slave and copy back the files you saved. I hope this solves your problem.
