A friend of mine told me I should divide my partitions in smaller parts. So ok, I said, and he gave me Partition Magic software. I installed it and I wanted to make ma D: partition in two smaller ones. It was backed up, just some unimportant stuff remained. However, the process began, but after creating about 50% of new partition, I get error #50. I tried to reformat that space, but I got the error again. Any help?

Partition Magic error #50 usually indicates read error. It might be because of conflict with some other applications (anti-virus or some active system utility). Try to shut down them all, except, of course, Partition Magic. Also, there’s a possibility that your disk has bad sectors – run a full scan with Check Disk utility.
