I'm having difficulties trying to gain network access on an old laptop on which I recently installed Win XP SP 2. Before this, it used to connect perfectly OK, but now it won't find the connection at all until I disable the firewall! I don't want to change firewalls ATM, is there any other way?

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 has the default OS firewall turned on by default (unlike the pre-SP 2 version of XP),
