How do I configure PPPOE on Windows 2000? When I open Network and Dial Connection I can see two icons. One is Make a new connection, and second is Local Area Connection. When I unplug DSL modem, Local Area Connection goes gray, and it says that it is unplugged. Also, the auto wizard cant configure my PPPOE. Must I buy a router for this?

Sometimes Windows 2000 can make problems with configuring PPPOE connections. What must you do is the following: make a new connection in network. There is option for Broadband connections. One is with Username and Password, and the other is without this, just for a steady line. DSL modem is like a network connection, so you must connect it to the network card.
