| That's basically it. The laptops on the WLAN work perfectly OK, for what it's worth, but the single desktop machine (XP Pro) that's connected to the (NetGear) router is slow and generally exhibiting odd behavior. For instance, when I'm already using an application (say a browser) and trying to start something else up (say WinAmp), while this is happening the cursor goes all haywire, normalizing only when App 2 gets going. Anyone recognize these symptoms? |

Yes, well, sort of. I had something similar to what you describe happen to me after I installed a new TV tuner, plus the system took ages to boot up. Turned out it was a bad driver update case, and after I rolled back to an older version, everything was back to normal. |
