PC Won't Boot with External USB HDD Connected

Hello! I have bought new Maxtor external hard drive 500 GB capacity, but I am not able to format it. When I connect it to my computer, booting starts, but few seconds after everything is just freeze. If I unplugged external hard drive, my computer boots without any problem. Have you any idea regarding this?

Hello! I think that your problem is power supply. I think that it is not strong enough. You external hard drive drawing too much power and it cannot provide enough power for your hardware. I suggest you to buy stronger power supply. I am sure that this will solve your problem.
