Hello! I am getting some e-mails with .mdb files in Outlook. Now it wont open them because it says that theres a possibility of infection. Is there some way that I could open these files and see them? I know from who they are sent so theres no worry for some infection! I am using Office 2002. Please help!

| Hi! There is a possibility but you would have to work a bit on that. Important to say is that this way you will set your applications to receive all of the .exe files so dont blame anyone except yourself after youve done that! Now, type regedit in run command from the start menu. Expand the tree and find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security. Then create a new string value by selecting New and then choose String Value from the Edit menu. Then, name the new level as Level1Remove. Now, double-click the new Level1Remove and there enter filename extension that you would prefer Outlook to stop blocking.. Dont use dots in the extension names and separate them with semicolons if you would like to add some other extensions. This is the thing you where looking for! Cheers! |

Hi,
Just post to hope my experience will help.
Maybe you need to repair the mdb files, and I think you can try a utility called Advanced Access Repair to repair your Access file. It works rather well for my corrupt Access mdb files. Its web address is http://www.datanumen.com/aar/
