| Hello. I have created few simple rules in Outlook Express to try to fight spam messages. However, I have noticed that I have missed several messages that should not be deleted and those messages did not contain any words I have designated in message rules. Can you explain to me why this is happening and how to solve problem with mail rules in Outlook Express? |

| Hello. You have a problem with mail rules in Outlook express because you have not formed rules well enough. Outlook Express uses simple string search to decide if some message should be deleted or not. For example, if you designate word “free” to be a trigger for sending messages to deleted item folder then every message that contains word “freedom” will be deleted also. Using rules for spam protection is not too efficient and you should consider some application designed for this. |

Hi,
You may try Advanced Outlook Express Repair at http://www.datanumen.com/aoer/ This tool is rather useful in salvaging damaged Outlook Express dbx files.
