Hello, all. My friend needs to move her Outlook mail-related data form her computer to my own temporarily, and she asked me to help her do it. The way I understand it, we need to find her local PST files, and transfer them to my HDD. I looked through the help files and the manuals, and found the default location, but those folders are all empty! I can only suppose she had Outlook installed with settings other than default, but she says she didn't. I tried a local search, and found nothing with the .PST extension. Am I missing something here? How do I backup her Outlook files, and where can I find them? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You can get the location of the .pst files from Outlook. Go to the "tools" menu, and select "services", you should see it in there somewhere. However, the reason you can't seem ti find them is probably because they're hidden. You need to enable the "view hidden and system files" option in Windows Explorer, and it's likely that those default folders won't seem so empty any more.
