This is the first time I am posting on this forum so hello to everyone...and please help me! I am using Outlook 2002 as e-mail client with XP pro on a network. When I open outlook, it doesn't show me my new mail until I click on the send/receive button. I cannot figure out how I can set outlook to receive mail automatically at startup. Does anybody know how this is done?
Well I know how I've done it. You should go to tools, click options, and then choose mail setup tab. Here click the send/receive button, and check the "Schedule an automatic send/receive every x minutes." Under x write whatever you think is suitable - at first I entered 10 minutes but I later changed it to 20. Anyway this will make your outlook receive e-mails upon startup - at least it did to me. Let me know if something's still unclear.
