Hello! I am using Outlook 2000 as default e-mail client. Recently I have some problems with starting up this e-mail client. Namely, it needs too much time to open. A friend of mine told me that this problem is caused because Outlook .pst files are too big. Now I want to know how big these files are and what I should do to speed up my Outlook 2000. Thank you!

Hello! Outlook 2000 .pst files can be large up to 2 GB. Pst files are actually everything you do in you Outlook 2000 (received e-mails, sent e-mails, contacts information, calendar, etc). If you want to speed up Outlook 2000 you need to delete all unneeded files. But if you remove those files to Delete Items folder, you did not get rid of its .pst files. You need to empty Deleted Items Folder to remove .pst files.
