| OK, after being bullied by my friends into it, I finally made the switch from Internet Explorer to Opera. Not the4 smartest of moves, as it turns out, because while Opera seems to work and looks real nice, it won't load any sites! No matter what I put in the address bar, it tries for a few seconds and and then stops, dead in the water. What now?! Go back to IE? |

| God, no. No matter what you do, you shouldn't go back to IE now that you finally gave it up. As for Opera, if it's a fresh installation it shouldn't be prone to spyware/adware issues (which otherwise are often behind these things), but check anyway: install Spybot and do a scan. Other than that, make sure the firewall you're using isn't blocking Opera from accessing the net; the easiest way to check would be to disable the firewall and see if Opera works. If so, make sure you configure it so that it allows for the new browser. |
