Hey there. I am a complete novice into computeering, and I need advice.I have a problem openning a file with extension .rar. I have downloaded a program, which is compressed and I' ve tried to open it but explorer just won't do it. I've tried several times, but it is just not functioning. What am I supposed to do now?

Well, I think the best thing you can do is to try to open it with Total Commander, if you have one installed. It opens almost every type of compression, including rar files. Rar files, are compressed files. Total Comander is a very simple program to use abut it is very useful, not only for this situation but also for many other functions... or you can download winrar, instalation version and than after you have the programme installed, you can open it from the explorer. That way, you can pack files too, and make them smaller. I think that programme is not expensive either, but in my opinion Total Commmander is much better solution.
