I have added another NIC on my laptop which already has an onboard one. I have checked the compatibility of the NIC with other components and it is ok, at least according to reviews, but still something is wrong because there is a conflict between them and I can’t use any. What do you think that is wrong and how can I solve the problem?

I really don’t know for sure and maybe I’m very wrong, but I see no reason why you would still use that on-board NIC when you have added a new one. I’d suggest you to try to switch it off in BIOS and try using just the new one. I think that this will solve the problem because it is maybe confusing for your laptop when it sees two NIC cards. Maybe those two are incompatible and maybe the problem is that you haven’t installed and connected it properly. Try readjusting it and see what happens. I don’t know what else I can suggest you but I reckon that one of these ideas might solve your problem.
