Hi there. I have two computers and I would like to create home network. However, I have on-chip NIC on new computer and I am not sure if it is good for home network. Is it better to buy new network card? I have never done this before (obviously) so any advice will be appreciated.

Hello. On-chip NIC is perfectly good for home network. Network cards are simple pieces of equipment and integrated network cards are no different (performance wise) then stand alone network cards. So, you can use it without fear that it will degrade network performance or cause some other troubles. I hope this answer helped you.
