I recently finished my high school education. I decide to go on IT University because I think that with that degree I won't have any trouble finding a job. However, I do not have any strong background in IT areas and I do not want to be a 'newbie' between my new colleagues. I start reading many IT literatures and I come on many dilemmas. For example, why my computer with old MSI board, can't boot up after BIOS update? I would appreciate any help.

I do not understand how people can decide to choose for lifetime occupation something just because they think it should be affordable. If you don't know much about information technologies and you do not like those things, I advice you to think again about going on any IT university. I do not think that you will be able to finish your IT studding. If you persist in your intentions then, at least, first go on few computer courses. That should give you a decent chance to overcome the differences in knowledge between you and your colleagues. Anyway, let get back to your question about why your computer with old MSI board, can't boot up after BIOS update. The answer to your question is easy. You probably have a wrong version of BIOS for your motherboard. Go on their site, find a proper version, and apply it. Pay attention to your motherboard revision.

I think that our colleague was rather hard with you. I agree that your IT studding would be easier with a little more experience in information technologies. However, I do not agree that it is impossible to do that without that starting knowledge. If you really want something then nothing should be impossible. I was also in your position before few years. I did not have much experience with computers but I decided to become a computer programmer. Now I have two more exams to become a graduated computer programmer. As always, will is much more important then simple knowledge. Therefore, if you strongly decide to go to IT University, then go and do not listen to anybody else. From your question about why your computer cannot boot up after BIOS update, I can see that you do not read many IT magazines. Those magazines could be valuable sources of information. Anyway, I agree with my colleague. There is also one more possibility that could cause a problem like yours. Maybe your BIOS update file is corrupted or damaged during the process of download. Try to download it one more time from MSI site and then try to apply it again.
