| Do I have a power supply issue or I am just paranoic. I got a new computer as a birthday present. Because I really like to play video games, I spent many hours during the day on computer. However, I have one strange problem. From time to time, my computer simply freezes for a few seconds and then restarts. I thought that my PSU is bad. However, friend told me that I have a problem with overheating. |

| Your friend is probably right and you are wrong. You obviously mean that you have a week power supply unit for your computer configuration and that you have to buy a "stronger" version of PSU, which can give your computer more power. I do not think that is your problem. By my experience, you may have other possible problems. First, your PSU unit may be bad and that is why it is loosing its power from time to time. The second and more probable one reason is that you have a problem with overheating. The heating system of your computer is not working well and whenever your computer reach the critical temperatures, BIOS turns it of to prevent the damage of the processor. To check that, after next restart go to the BIOS and check the temperature of your processor and system. It should not be over 65 degrees. |
