| Hello! Hence installing a new 120GB hard drive, windows XP is not displaying the new hard drive in my PC. It is being identify in the bios, when started up for the first time after installation, found new hardware and installed it, but the hard drive will not appear in my computer. I did the same for windows Me and the similar thing occur. It also does not appear in MS Dos or F disc. Thanks! |

| Hi! It won't appear in your computer while it's not partitioned. A non-partitioned drive has no drive letter so there's nothing to show in your PC. Windows ME has some problems with partitions larger than nearly 100Gb so if you want on ME being able to insight it, make sure they're smaller than that. Occasion for F disc should be able to notice the drive. But you may need to improve it, as the authentic version won't straight notice a drive larger than about 32Gb. You can also use the XP f disc version. Hopefully that will correct the matter you're having with f disc. |
