I have got this crap preinstalled on my laptop. I hate it very much, it is too very slow! The problem is that I can’t remove it! After I try to uninstall it, and restart machine, it all gets messed up and the Symantec update is still running! I had to reinstall it again. How do I remove it permanently?

Norton Internet Security is one tough piece of software. It is impossible to remove it with plain uninstall. You need to search for and download an application “Norton Remover”. This will remove Norton, all its additional software, and all the registry keys. After that you will be able to install whatever AV and firewall you want.
