The time has come to renew my Norton subscription. However a colleague of mine told me to cancel Norton and switch to AVG – it’s free and does the entire job. I am a bit skeptic about that program – Norton has a long time tradition and I have never had virus problems so far. Should I risk my security for a couple of bucks a year?

No matter how much anti virus programs you use, you can never be 100% sure that you won’t catch some virus. Norton is a good program (however I prefer NOD32), and AVG can be a good supplement. Just keep in mind that under no circumstances you must not use real time protection of more than one AV program.
