Norton antivirus keeps popping up with following message:" Microsoft Generic Host Process for WIN32 Generics is attempting to access the internet.." and asks me if I want to allow it access or deny it. I would be very grateful if you explain to me what does this mean and should I allow it access to internet.

If this Norton antivirus message pops up when you are not trying to connect to internet then you are infected with some Trojan virus. I suggest you to run a full system scan (preferably in safe mode) to clean your system. Also, download some antispyware software and perform a full system scan with it, too. I guess that this message will stop popping up after you clean your computer.
