| Hello people. I have backed up my system with Norton Ghost few weeks a go, and since than I had no needs for restoring the image back. I guess that I wont have to do that, my system works very nice for now. I have one question about the size of the image file. When I did backup, I have noticed that the image size is not the same as the whole system partition. In fact my system drive is almost 10 gigabytes larger than the image size. Am I going to have some problems when the time for backup comes? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. This is perfectly normal thing for every back-up software program. Follow the logic, why should Norton copy all of the empty space when there is need for data only. Plus the compression rate you have selected. If you have around 7 gigs of data on your C drive, than your ghost application will compress the data and make it half that way no matter how much big your partition size is. Dont worry about that at all when restoring your image back. |
