Norton AntiVirus problem with Skype

Hello! I am using Norton AntiVirus and it making problems when I want to open Skype. When I start Skype it just takes time and time but it wont give the chance for it to connect! This was not the case when I had only Skype. How can I fix this troubleshooting What do you suggest?

; Hi there! Open your Norton Anti Virus and get into the properties. There you shall find the setting referred to programs accessing the net. Just set it to bypass Skype and that will fix your problem. You could also check if your firewall settings are set to do the exact thing. I know that Norton sometimes gives the headaches but its sure better to have something against viruses than not to.
