I am interested in Nokia phone support for linux. I have Linux on my computer and the cell phone is Nokia 5110. What can I expect and what do I need to achieve this. And please if you could try and keep answers simple, whit as little as possible high/tech moments. Appreciate it and forever grateful. Sincerely yours, no-nothing-about-computers.

Dear no-nothing-about-computers, it is me, know-a-little-bit-about-computers. I will just give you a few pointers here, so you will know what is out there and what to expect. But for any installation and connection you will have to talk to the expert. I know that there is an application for Linux tool suite and it is supposed to become a modem/fax driver for Nokia (GSM) mobile phones. It supports Nokia 5110, the one you said you have. Also, there is another application that manages your phone, including SMS, address book etc. That is all I could help. Go and find an expert if you have any additional questions or if you are ready to try some of this.
