| I have recently bought new computer and installed a system. I have speakers on my computer and I was looking forward to start a new game and play it. However, as I could not hear any sound, I tried to play a music and no program could play it. What could be the problem? If anyone could tell me, that would be great. |

| The fact that you cannot hear any sound from your speakers can point either to a software or to a hardware problem. If you have not connected your speakers to a right place (as there are three holes at the back of the tower), you will not be able to hear the sound. To be sure, check each hole. If there is still nothing, that means the driver for the sound card is not installed and you need to install it. You will do that by going to control panel and select 'system'. After that, go to tab with drivers, select audio, and under the tab 'drivers' click update drivers. You can also make the procedure simpler by simply taking your sound card driver cd and installing it like any other program (or your motherboard cd if you have an on-board sound card). |
