My monitor is dead or its broken very badly. There is no signal on it. No light on diode, nothing. How to check this, without having to open it? By the way, its Philips BF 2 ms. I bought it 8 months ago, but everything was working well. Maybe its even the cable, who knows. Is there way to solve this by myself? Cheers!

Go to the BIOS, and check if VGA option is selected. I mean, as a source for video signal. If you have separate video card, then its doesnt matter. Otherwise, see if its AGP and change it to VGA. Try it with another computer, and see what will happen. By the way, that is the best way to check your computer components. Take them to another computer, and you will see are they broken or its something else. Anyway, my advice is to check the monitor first, then, to check video card. Its one of these two things. Whats the type of your video card, is it integrated or not? This BIOS adjustment is working only with integrated graphic card. And, at the end, there is a power supply issue. Be sure that is working properly.
