I was surprised when I tried to play some songs in my windows media player there was no sound. I tried with movie, too. There was picture, but, again, no sound. This happened when I have installed the newest drivers for my sound card. Maybe that fact is connected to this. What do you think about this?

Maybe sound on your computer is set to mute. Have you tried other players? If with them same thing, then I am right. To fix this click on start/control panel/sounds and audio devices/volume/uncheck mute. If this is not problem (other players work properly, just media player do not), then you need some codec for WMP. Go to Microsoft site and download it.
