| I bought new dell PC. With this computer I get Ubuntu installation disc. My older brother installed it for me. Now, I have a problem, my brother gone to collage and I can run Ubuntu only in safe graphic mode. I try to reinstall it, but when I try to format it some error occurs. I dont know what to do. My brother is coming back for 6 months and I cant wait that long. |

Check your installation cd to some friend. Could be that its damaged. I am almost sure in that. But if it is not, then you probably didnt set up BIOS to use generic or legacy mode for your hard drive. After you set changes, try to boot it (I assume it would be smoothly job now).
p.s
You always can take from someone a live cd for Ubuntu or other Linux distribution and install it on that way (it would work, believe me, Ive done that).
