| Hello there. I am having troubles with my integrated onboard sound for a very long time a go. It is working under Windows without any problem, which is normal, but no matter which Linux I tried to use, I never saw a success. Only Suse was able to let me to hear the sound from my mp3 collection, but until the next reboot. The word is about SoundMax integrated audio. I need help. I won’t rest until I can hear this soundcard working like under windows. Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. You said that you can hear the sound until you reboot the system, right? Only over Linux, hmm. I think you may need to store those ALSA settings. “ALSA ctl store” after finding the corresponding sound card, did you issued that command or not? Anyway, I must disappoint you because I think that there is not much support over there for your sound card model. Sound card company with the most wider support under Linux is Creative labs. Any other PCI device should work without any problems. Keep that in mind. |
