No HDD activity?

Hi. I have a big problem with my computer. When I power it up I can see no HDD activity. Of course, system wont boot up and I can only stare to screen with error message about primary master not found. I hope you will tell me if there is any chance to solve this problem without buying a new hard drive. Thank you in advance.

Hello. Unfortunately, there is only a slim chance to solve this problem without buying a new hard drive. If there is no HDD activity at all it can mean only two things. Your hard drive is either dead or power cable is not connected correctly. Open computer case and check cable that leads from power supply to hard drive. If it is connected properly then, I fear, you will have to buy new hard drive.
