Greetings. I have just got new Mustek scanner which is making me troubles. I just can’t install this hardware to work properly. I have connected all cables, from scanner to the computer, installed the drivers as usual. But when I tried to scan some images from Adobe PS, the scanner is not present at all! I have checked the scanners and cameras folder, but it isn’t there. The strange thing that we have the same scanner at office, and it is working quite well. Well, this one at my home really looks like new….. What should I try next? Thanks in advance.

Hello. Your Mustek imaging device is using a little bit different type of installation than we all are used to perform. The main problem spot is the first installation step you took I guess. You probably need to install the drivers first without any connection between your scanner and your PC. Yes, leave USB cable detached while installing those drivers, and then after restart, plug the device. It should work.
