Hey there. I am not really into personal computers, electronics and all that hi tech stuff, but I am unfortunately forced into it. I do not know much about computers, so I just have to trust my friends and colleagues. Few of them advised me to install a program called Spybot search and destroy, and they say that it will protect my PC from malware and spyware. I ‘ve also heard the last version works as a firewall. Is that true? Should I install it?

Hi. What shall I say  every beginning is hard, and somehow you will get used to computers and all that different software. It is not really that complicated, and mostly depends on your interests and needs. If you spend a lot of your time on your PC, and surf the net often, you will most definitely need good antiviral software, and also something to take care of the spyware and malware. Spybot Search and destroy is an option, though I never used. As I now, I think it has something called Tea Timer that can work as a kind of firewall but I am not so sure about it. There is also a good problem called BO Clean, and V Cleaner, you might try them as well.
