| I bought a new lap top recently, one of those HP ones, not very expensive. It came without operative system installed, so I will have to do it myself. The trouble is, I started to install Windows XP Professional, the one I used before, and I just couldn’t start the installation process. Is there something wrong with my lap top? Why am I having these problems? |

| Hey there. Similar thing happened to me, some month ago. I bought new notebook too, without OS installed. I started the installation process of the old Windows XP I had installed on my previous PC, but it wouldn’t work. I thought that my CD was damaged, so I tried it for several times. No results. So, I consulted a friend of mine who told me that I should try some newer version of Windows XP, or Vista. He gave me something called Last XP – XP with service pack 1 and 2, as well as any needed applications and drivers. Wonderful thing, I must say. And it worked. So you may want to try it too. |
