I have some compatibility and what is the better choice for my motherboard issue. I have old MoBo with ATA 150 SATA connection. Because I am planning to buy a new HD, well let just say it is about time for me to do that, and after comparing the prices somehow it led me to conclusion that I should purchase the one with SATA 3.0 connection. As you can see different numbers and SATA connection styles so I wonder here will that HD work on my old MoBo?!

Well, I don’t know which model you are buying. But I think in general that should work, as I heard for WD mark. So I am concluding for others also because that compatibility works backwards in this HDD/MoBo combo. Meaning you should just set the speed jumper on the HD the right way on 1.5. I have never tried that one but like I overheard from friend that suppose to work. Don’t know if others here agree with me?
