Hello. I have bought new SATA 160 gb hard drive. I tried to install windows XP on it, but during the install procedure, the system is looking for some hard disk drivers, and it wont continue. I dont know which drivers are needed for the hard drive to operate normally. I never had any trouble regarding installation on my old drive so far. Should I ask for replacement? Thanks.

No. Dont ask for any replacement. Your drive is perfectly normal and the reason because your drive wont operate is way too old on board SATA controller. You can try to update or flash your BIOS, that might be the solution. Or you can go to the Drives manufacturer site and try to download the drivers, prepare them on the floppy disk and when prompted during the first steps of install, hit the F2 key for additional SCSI or RAID controller drivers.
