Hello. I'm having trouble connecting my new SB512 modem to my old Netgear router. Well, I actually have trouble connecting to the internet this way, but the two pieces of hardware seem to be connected perfectly AFAICS. I get the right IP number for the router, but no net connection. I tried the modem without the router, plugged in directly, and I can connect no problem. Is there a history of conflicts with these two models, or what? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Most likely this isn't a problem with the Motorola. The first thing tech support is going to have you do is power cycle the router. That means turn it off, disconnect it form everything, leave it like that for a minute or two, reconnect it, restart it again. This is standard procedure for getting routers to work with a new connection, especially when a new modem is added too. If your network settings are OK, you should be able to connect after power cycling.
