I have a problem with connecting to the server on my office network. I have been using computer for two years and I never had any problem. Since yesterday, I cannot manage to connect to my network server. A friend told me that network firewall is probably blocking my access. Should I maybe setup networking via crossover cable?

I do not think that connecting via crossover cable will solve your needs. If you did not install some new programs or drivers at your PC lately, I do not think that your problem is connected to the operating system of your computer. Maybe you have a virus on your computer and that is the reason for your network firewall to refuse you access to the server. Anyway, I think you should do a complete check of your machine. For that problem, you have to install few programs. For anti-spyware software, I would recommend you to download and install SpyBot Search & Destroy. For anti-virus software, I can recommend you AVG. Both of those programs are freewares and very efficient.
