| I bought installed D-Link Router DI-624 and I have D-Link Wireless Notebook Adapter DWL-650 on my notebook. I went to network wizard, setup all network connections then installed Network Magic. Installation went fine but when I rebooted my computer network still doesnt work. What is Network Magic and how can I use the program, I read many thing about it, but understood just few. Im using Windows XP with service pack 2 installed. |

I will first answer the last question. NetworkMagic is a program you can download to set up your Network automatically it will also show your network status with a tree like picture of your network. It's pretty good programs the only down side is that it cost 40$, but you can try it free for 30 days.
Well now we can go trough debugging, firs turn of all firewall because they can cause a lot of problems. Make sure to disconnect from the internet first so you want be exposed from net attacks, viruses etc. If the firewall is problem you must configure it to allow access to "trusted zone".
Be sure the computer being accessed has an account with the same username password as the on that you try to connect.
Theres also one setting you will need to check: Netbios over TCP/IP must be enabled for network browsing.
PING each computer by IP address, if this works try to PING by computer name. At the end you should enable sharing and discovery options.
