I'm getting terrible speed performance with Comcast, and since I've signed up with them, I think even my local network speed is dropping, is that possible? I asked the ISP, but they said it wasn't, and that the problem must be on my end. I'm still convinced it has something to do with them, but I don't know how to confirm or disprove this. The router is Belkin, and the network consists of three desktop computers, each running Win XP with SP 2. Any ideas?

Well, what methods have you tried already, if any? You should check for malware of some kind, using Spybot or HijackThis to see if anything got through under the radar of your firewall… speaking of which, you are using a firewall, aren't you? Are you sure its properly configured for your new connection? Finally, you should try doing a few speed tests online to see if your speed has really dropped, and how much.
