Hi, I'm having some issues with network speed - it's been dropping steadily these past few days, and now it's painfully slow. I've been told to try using a sniffer like Ethereal to check the network, and I plan to do just that when I find the time. Other that that, is there anything you would recommend I try to identify the cause of the speed problem? Tanks in advance,

The first (and easiest) thing to do would be to scan for adware/spyware and viruses. There's a number of online services that'll do just that. If that doesn't come up with anything, maybe check for traffic loops - i.e. large and meaningless file transfers that happen periodically and just clog up the network.
