I've tried networking two desktop machines at home, both on Windows XP Pro, and I seem to be stuck. I can see the other computer, but I keep getting this message whenever I try to access it: "//(machine name) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Access is denied." This is harder then I though it'd be. Can anyone lend a hand?

That message indicates you have file sharing disabled on one or both computers. From Windows Explorer, open the Tools menu, and click "File Types". Go to the View tab, and scroll down until you find an option called "use simple file sharing" (or something very much like that). Make sure this is checked. Report back with more network setup details if the problem persists.
