| I need some help with my new motherboard driver update. After I replaced the motherboard in my computer, my new motherboard could not properly see my HDD so I downloaded the latest version of motherboard drivers from the Internet. However, when I try to install downloaded file I get an error message. To be even worse, now my network interface card is not working. Are my network card or motherboard, maybe, damaged? |

| I do not think that either your network card or your motherboard are damaged. I think other reasons are causing your problem. The simplest one would be an error in the process of downloading. In that case, your driver file may be damaged. To check that, you should try to download it once again and than try to reinstall it. You may also have a version of driver for some other operating system. Your version of drivers could be for some other operating system like Windows 2000 and you probably have Windows XP. In that case, you have to find and download the proper version for your operating system. Last reason for your problem could be that your driver update may need some service pack or add-ons. If that is the problem, download and install them first. If nothing helps, complete reinstall certainly will. |
