Hi! I am trying to setup a small network at my home. I have connected three PCs all running XP, using an ordinary router. I’m not satisfied with the way it’s been functioning so far since I keep on having various problems and just when I fix one, the other one appears. I’d like some tips on how I can make network management better. Any kind of help would be appreciated since I’m really new to networking. Thanks!

Try this: go to ‘My network places’ and click ‘set-up home or small office network’ option. Maybe running this setup might help you some. And also I think it would be a smart move to network the PCs with a charter high speed too. I can’t think of anything else right now. You might provide some more info on your network ( type of the router, what kind of internet connection you’re using) and I could give you some more advice.
