Network Card Enabled = Slow PC issue!

I have very strange problem. Namely, when I enable my network card, my computer get slow. If I disable my network adapter, all is well. I think that my network card is broken. In fact, I don't know what to think. Do you have some suggestions for solving this problem?

I have few ideas: 1.change patch cable with new one 2.try a different network card 3.Check if is checked "Automatically search for network folders and printers". If it is, uncheck it. 4.run some antivirus and antispyware (maybe computer is infected & you dont know) I hope that some of these will help you. Please, let me know
