Netscape 8.0 so slow

I have downloaded Netscape 8.0 recently and I am very disappointed. I am long time Netscape user and fan and I have never seen such sluggishness and memory consumption in any other Netscape release. It opens web pages slowly, change tabs slowly and everything other is slow. Also, it uses almost 250MB RAM. I mean, even Internet Explorer 7 is using less RAM. Is this just my problem or?

Unfortunately, this is the way it is. Netscape 8.0 is (in my opinion) worst Netscape release ever. It is using extremely lot RAM, as you pointed out. This is probably design flow and bad code optimization issue. They will probably try to fix this in following release (Netscape 9) but I seriously doubt in their success. I am really sorry about this because I really liked Netscape in the old days.
