Netgear ma521 wireless router security question

Hello! I have Netgear ma521 wireless router and small home network. It seems to me that now anybody can access to my network. That showed me yesterday a friend whom brought his laptop and accessed my network without any problems. Please, tell me what to do to make my network secure. Thank you very much!

Hello! If you want to secure your network, you should add your MAC addresses of your computers to MAC filter list in the router configuration. That will prevent an authorized access to your small home network. Also, close all unneeded ports on your router to prevent unauthorized accessing to your network. I hope this helps you!
