Netgear WG614 Router Settings Problem

Hello. I bought Netgear WG614 router today and I am already having troubles with it. I was trying to enter router configuration utility using procedure described in router manual. I entered 192.168.0.1 in browser address bar but instead router configuration panel I have received error saying something about gateway timeout. Can you explain to me how to fix this problem?

Hi. What is your computer IP address? It should be 192.168.0.xxx. Open command prompt and enter “ipconfig” command (without the quotes, of course). IF IP address is not 192.168.0.xxx then enter following commands: “ipconfig/release” and after this “ipconfig/renew”. This should enable your computer to gain correct IP address and other settings like gateway. Now you will be able to access router configuration utility.
